Alina Lindner studied Computer Science at the "Politehnica" University of Bucharest,
Romania and she received in 1997 the Ph.D. degree in parallel image segmentation algorithms from the Signal
Processing Laboratory, Tampere University of Technology, Tampere, Finland. Until Mai 1999, Dr. Lindner has been a
research assistant with Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, Germany, when she joined the CAS Software AG. Since
September 2000 she is a senior software engineer at MAP&GUIDE GmbH in Karlsruhe. Alina Lindner has published numerous
conference and journal papers and her current interests are focused onto geographic information systems and location
based services for PDAs and smartphones.
